Katelyn Leonard-White is passionate about creating opportunities for musicians and artists of all ages to thrive both on and off the stage. Katelyn’s musical journey began early, studying piano, voice, and clarinet. She went on to serve as principal clarinet in the Valparaiso University Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Concert Band, while also honing her conducting skills under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Doebler and Dr. Dennis Friesen-Carper.

Katelyn holds a degree in Music Education from Valparaiso University and spent four years as the Director of Bands for Union Township School Corporation. She later earned a degree in Music Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and maintains her status as a Board-Certified Music Therapist. Katelyn’s performance experience includes playing with Windiana Concert Band as well as performing in pit orchestras and serving on production teams as a vocal and music director for community theater productions with organizations such as Chicago Street Theater, Regional Performing Arts Center, Dunes Summer Theatre, and Memorial Opera House, along with several local high schools.

In addition to her work in music therapy and education, Katelyn serves as the President of the Board for Regional Performing Arts Company. She is also the music director at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Chesterton. Outside of her professional roles, Katelyn enjoys being a mom to her energetic pre-schooler, who loves playing and “directing” alongside her parents.
